partNEARship

While web2 centralization plays the zero-sum game, web3 is for everyone. It’s a positive-sum dynamic. Everybody can win. It’s not competitive. It’s collaborative. It’s not dog-eat-dog. It’s a different animal. (Pun intended). It’s in a different CAT(tegory). :) Web3 outgrew web2. Web3 transcends web2. Web3 gives everyone the opportunity to partNEAR with whomever they like. I have seen it. I have lived it.

Remember the illustration on an island? NEAR Protocol is like a reclaimed island. It’s pretty much like the reclamation island in UAE, where they created islands from scratch. They even shaped the islands into a palm. Well, with NEAR Protocol, an island has been created. Then there are all of us migrating to it to build it, create structure on top of it. Then we build a new civilization on it.

Therefore, everyone can contribute in whatever meaningful way the want to. They can partNEAR with like-minded commoNEARs to create something valuable. For instance, Riqi of Paras and his partner Afiq created this marketplace for commoNEARs to trade NFTs on. Artists and collectors alike transact there. This is how we, at NEAR PH, onboarded more than 30 artists now on Paras.

This marketplace can attract more Filipinos to collect on Paras as investors. You see, it’s not just artists that we onboard. We are paving the way for others to migrate to planet NEAR through Paras. Then, after people open their NEAR wallet and inhabit Paras, they may visit some other towns on top of planet NEAR, too. They may find something interesting on Mintbase. Then they can forge partNEARship with other commoNEARs.

This is not limited to creatives. Even developers from web2 can forge partNEARship with other like-minded professionals on NEAR for meaningful contribution. These programmers, are like engiNEARS. They reinforce the infrastructure on NEAR for smoother transactions and safer privacy for all commoNEARs. For instance, from time to time, founders of NEAR, such as Illia, would shout out into the universe to ask who would like to improve the Sputnik DAO in some way. It’s like announcing within planet NEAR about who’s got the expertise to refine Sputnik DAO’s structure. Do you see where we are heading here? There is potential partNEARships there for collaboration. And that partNEARship can mortpth into a nother project that can add another layer of value on top of NEAR.

Then there is the community side of planet NEAR. This is where non-tech peeps can forge partNEARships. They can in whatever shape and form come up with something beautiful, whether for aesthetics or for just sheer social innovation, such as a new guild or a new way of onboarding people into the Sandbox. Sky is the limit this time. You see, if one human being can be so creative and innovative, two people who like each other can concoct a new way of interacting with one another. Then a new culture is formed.

For instance, Sandbox has its own culture. Then Octopus Network may have their own culture as well. Even two people can have their own culture, too. Remember how you interact differently with your sibling from the way you deal with your cousin? The dynamic between two individuals can become a fertile ground for future innovation and creativity that if they are bold enough to execute on it, they can fleshen it out in the far future or in the NEAR future.

Moreover, partNEARships of different sorts can immerge. We have just discussed professional and creative partNEARships. As humans, we may form romantic partNEARships with someone else on planet NEAR. Hey, who knows? Wink wink. When two people like each other, they can form lasting partNEARships, be it romantically or just pure platonic affection. Like Samtoshi and I have this affection for each other like brothers do. I just love the guy. He’s a dedicated father, a loving hubby, and a gifted artist himself.

Different partNEARships for different purposes. As long as there are at least two people on planet NEAR, there will be partNEARship. Hey, Illia and Alex Skidanov were the grand founding fathers before they started NEAR. And now that we are all here, with 2 billion USD in market cap, we are here to stay.
